Cut
How to tell if your diamond makes the cut...
I'm guessing you got clarity and color down. Cut actually is pretty complicated. But here's your guide to help you make the cut...
When it comes to diamonds, cut refers to the proportions, finish, symmetry and polish of your diamond. The cut is directly responsible for just how good your diamond is gonna look. A diamond that has precise cuts will sparkle perfectly, while a diamond with cuts that are less than perfect will more or less not sparkle.
As an example, a round brilliant cut, which has 58 facets, is shown below. Since the quality of the cut is directly responsible for the stone's beauty, the precision with which the facets are arranged is of prime importance. They determine the amount of light reflected to the eye, called brilliance.

That's a lot to take. Face it, when it comes to diamonds, most of the value is Mother Nature. In "Cut", it all depends on the artistry of the cutter.
